About Bramhall's
Bramhall's Country Store has a long history in Plymouth.
Originally built in 1750, George bought it from Nathaniel Carver in 1828 for $25. During the 19th century, Bramhall's saw multiple uses: The building was one of the nation's first post offices, served as Ben Bramhall's leather working shop (cobbling, shoe-making, and saddle-making), and was briefly a country store. Through the 20th century, Bramhall's remained a country store for a while before becoming Dicky Bramhall's carpentry shop around mid-century, which he shared with his good friend Dick Vaughn. In the 1980's Wedge Bramhall decided to turn it back into a country store to offer the local community real food and a friendly place to hang out.

Bramhall's is currently run by Wedge's wife Jami and his Children Ben, Sam, Sally, and Liz, the great-great-great-great grandkids of George Bramhall, the original owner.

We're a seasonal business best known for three summer staples.
lobsters, corn, and Ben and Jerry's ice cream. We also carry other local produce, food, arts, and crafts.

The Bramhall's have always showcased the classic New England tendency to packrat old items in the attic.
At Bramhall's you can still see this evidenced in the wooden peg shoes, pontiled bottles, ledgers, post office manuals, cobbler's benches, etc. Truly a trip back in time.
